Universal Binary ProTA and ProTA Gold are now Universal Binaries. A Universal Binary is an application that contains 100% native program code for both PowerPC Macs (G4, G5) as well as for the newer Intel Macs. Previous versions contained only PowerPC code and therefore failed to take full advantage of the processors inside of the new Intel Macs.

Speed tests were performed with ProTA Gold 3.01 vs. ProTA Gold 3.1 on a 2.66 Ghz quad-core Intel Mac:
(1) Scanned a database of 633 stocks for a Stochastics Divergence criteria.
(2) Fully compute a Custom Indicator using multiple instances of the PREV() function on a chart with 25 years of data.
(3) Optimized 200 parameter combinations of a Trading System applied to a stock with 25 years of historical data.
(4) Openned a saved chart suite displaying 25 charts in a 5x5 grid, each with 14 indictors applied.
